How to fix dry skin over night

Hello loves! Today is all about how to fix dry, flakey skin over night. I have suffered with very dry skin and this seems to be the only thing that helps in a time of need and quickly. Do this a few nights in a row and you will be golden.

What you'll need:

- Clean face

- Moisturizing face mask

- Moisturizer

- Face oil

- Facial spray

Let's jump in...

First you'll need to have a clean face. Wash your face with your favorite cleansing brush, cleanser and exfoliator. I like to use my Clarisonic Mia 2, Cetaphil face wash and a soft exfoliating scrub with beads. An exfoliator is necessary for this because it's going to get rid of all the dead skin cells left on your face, leaving your skin smooth to the touch.

After exfoliating, put your hydrating face mask on and let it sit. A hydrating face mask is going to nourish and moisturize your skin. I like to use Freeman's Feeling Beautiful Facial Clay Mask in Chocolate & Strawberry. I like this mask because it feels really good on the skin and it smells like chocolate covered strawberries - and who doesn't like chocolate... or strawberries?

This next part I make sure to do right before I lay my head on my pillow to go to sleep. This is because there will be thick layers of moisture making the skin feel sticky/oily and can be a little uncomfortable to sit with without smudging or wiping off. Take a facial oil, I use Josie Maran's 100 Percent Pure Argan Oil, and press it onto your skin. Pressing will ensure the product is going deeper into your pores instead of sitting on top of the skin. The oil is going to give your skin a lot of moisture to sink into the dry spots.

Next, take your face lotion, I like to use Cetaphil for dry skin, and press it onto your skin as you did with the oil. Do not rub this into your skin or it will move around the oil that you already applied and want to stay in place. Your face will be left with a white cast from the moisturizer, but it will give a thick layer of moisture that your skin can drink up over night.

Last step, spritz some facial moisture spray onto your face, I like to use MAC Fix+. Using this will add a little moisture and leave your skin feeling refreshed. After that, you're finished! Go to sleep and when you wake up in the morning your skin should feel replenished and comfortably moisturized. Continue with your daily morning routine and you should be set!
